e-Commerce Internet Success | Relusi Header and Footer Glitches

These are just minor, but annoying nevertheless, and easy to fix.

When you set up Relusi, the video has you do some editing to the script "misc.php".  One of the items that is mentioned that you can edit, is that on line 4.

    $installDir="lnk";

$installDir is a variable containing the value "lnk", which specifies the directory Relusi is to be installed in.  That location variable is used in various other scripts in the Relusi package.

So, if you want to put Relusi into a different directory, you could replace "lnk" with "mylinks", or whatever you choose, even a sub-subdirectory, and the scripts will accomodate that.  Except in "header.php" and "footer.php".  In those two scripts, "lnk" is hardcoded, so if you define something else on line 4 in "misc.php" you will have a problem in the header and footer displays/links.

In "header.php", you will have to replace "lnk" with whatever you have chosen, in both lines 122 and 124.

With "footer.php" there are a couple of things to consider and fix.  First, there are errors.  Where you would expect to see "lnk" in lines 19 and 21, you see "art".  If what you have in line 4 of "misc.php" is "lnk", you should replace "art" with "lnk".  If you have something else in line 4, you should replace "art" with whatever you have chosen as the directory name instead of "art" or "lnk".  And, in any event, you should replace the line 19 anchor text "Articles" with "Resources".

Now, if you are handy with PHP, you could replace "lnk" and "art" with the PHP script variable (surrounded by appropriate PHP coding).
